| Welcome
to the House of Walker as we take you on a journey of taste
through the different blends from the Johnnie Walker family.
Johnnie WalkerRed Label
Johnnie Walker Red Label was developed by brothers George
and Alexander Walker in 1909. They blended a type of whisky
which is more suited to mixing with soda than the heavier,
more old-fashioned whiskies.
Today Johnnie Walker Red Label is the world's most popular
whisky and is sold in more than 200 markets world-wide.
The character of Johnnie Walker Red Label is a robust and
traditional Scotch, exuberant, sweet and smoky. The colour
is bright reddish gold and is blended from in the region
of 35 different whiskies. The palate gives a direct and
fresh aroma, with a hint of vanilla and powerful smoky malt,
finished with a hint of spice.

Johnnie Walker Black Label Johnnie
Walker Black Label evolved from Walker's Old Highland Whisky,
which was originally blended by Alexander and George's father,
Alexander Walker.
Alexander Walker's sons not only renamed the brand but also
added its 12 year old age statement, making it one of the
first Scotch whiskies to carry an age guarantee and creating
a benchmark by which all deluxe whiskies are judged.
The character of Johnnie Walker Black Label is a deep, complex
and flavourful Scotch that is silky and rich. Its colour
is deep gold with orange-gold flints and it is blended from
in the region of 40 different whiskies. The nose of Black
Label is a complex of aromas - dry smokiness mixed with
raisin sweetness freshened by orange zest and citrus oils.
The palate should be smooth, with a deep challenging flavour,
packed with rich smoky malt and peat. Sweet vanillas in
the background should combine with the tang of burnt raisins.
The finish should be long, dark and malt driven.

Johnnie Walker Gold Label Gold
Label is a superior deluxe 18-year-old blended Scotch whisky
made from an exclusive selection of 15 different aged whiskies.
The brand delivers an exceptionally smooth taste together
with a richness of character and lasting finish.
Its colour should be rich gold with gold glints and its
nose is full round and deep, with traces of soft raisins
and toffee, fresh malt and light cream.
For an even more rewarding experience, try freezing the
bottle of Gold Label and serve it straight. By chilling
the liquid so much, its uniquely subtle fruit flavour and
honey sweetness are beautifully enhanced. The rather indulgent
act of drinking this divine whisky frozen is even better
with chocolate - heaven indeed!

Johnnie Walker Blue Label The
most exceptional member of the Johnnie Walker blends, Blue
Label is a combination of very rare whiskies and very rare
blending skills.
Johnnie Walker Blue Label is made from some of the rarest
malt and grain whiskies. Just a few casks from over seven
million are hand picked by some of the finest blenders in
the business. The result is a whisky with a velvety smooth
mouth-feel that still gives an explosion of flavours on
the palate.

Johnnie Walker Green Label Johnnie
Walker Green Label is a 15-year-old malt whisky made up
from a combination of specially selected malts distilled
only in the Highlands of Scotland. It brings a new taste
dimension to the market, appealing to both deluxe and malt
whisky drinkers. Its character distinguishes it from single
malt whiskies, setting a new benchmark of excellence.
Green Label has a character that is deep, mellow and superbly
integrated. Its colour is bright, mid-gold with amber lights
and its nose is fresh and slightly fruity - fir tree and
laurel bushes, with oranges and a touch of liquorice. After
a while the aroma deepens and notes of vanilla, sandalwood
and some sherry-wood emerge. The finish is fresh, swift
and clean.

Johnnie
Walker Swing
Johnnie
Walker Swing was created for the 'golden age' of travel in the
twenties and thirties when luxury liners carried high society
passengers around the world. The Swing name derives from the rocking
motion of the bottle, which swings to and fro on a convex base
when gently pushed.
Swing has therefore been specially blended to reflect a perfect
balance. It has a rich old gold colour and a nose of almost perfumed
sweetness. It is smooth with a light freshness that covers a deeper
fruitiness with some smoke and oak flavours. Unusually for a whisky
it has no age statement. |
